Dutaion: 3 Years
This degree is highly regarded and based on practical, professional, employer-driven accounting requirements. To sit the degree, students must have passed the first nine papers of the ACCA Qualification.
What is required for the degree?
Students are required to complete two pieces of work in order to demonstrate the ability to research, analyse and use key skills:
- Research and Analysis Project - 6500 word report
- Key Skills statement - 2000 word statement
Entrance requirements:
- two 'A' Levels and three GCSEs or equivalent in five separate subjects, including English and Mathematics.
Mature Student Entry Route (MSER)
- Normally over age 21
- no academic qualifications required
- must pass the equivalent of Papers F2, Management Accounting and F3, Financial Accounting within two years before further progression to the ACCA exams are permitted.
Access via CAT qualification
- CAT qualified students may transfer to the Skills module of the ACCA Qualification by claiming exemption from the first three papers in the Knowledge module.

- F1 Accountant in Business (AB)
- F2 Management Accounting (MA)
- F3 Financial Accounting (FA)
- F4 Corporate and Business Law (CL)
- F5 Performance Management (PM)
- F6 Taxation (TX)
Assessment: Computer Based Exam (available for the first three papers) or Written examination at the end of semester
Year 2
- F7 Financial Reporting (FR)
- F8 Audit and Assurance (AA)
- F9 Financial Management (FM)
Assessment: Written examination at the end of semester
Year 3 (Top up year)
All students who wish to submit a Research and Analysis Project must have a mentor and schedule meetings with this mentor when they are writing the Project. The mentor will oversee students progress and offer advice when required.
