Course Aims and Objectives:
To provide students with:
- An understanding how International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) are used
around the world
- An understanding of the fundamental requirements of ISAs on a
standard-by-standard basis
- Guidance on how to use ISAs in practice with the aid of questions, cases
and exercises
- An understanding of the main differences between ISAs and UK rules
Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the course the students will be able to:
- Obtain a professional accountancy qualification which benefits from global
recognition.
- Qualify ACCA membership that opens doors to a successful career in
accountancy practice or finance, and increases earning potential.
- Develop very highly rated expertise in the fields of banking, management
and consulting, and is a major advantage in competing for senior roles.
- Qualify ACCA membership that also enables to obtain the status of
Registered Auditor.
Entry requirements:
Candidates must be aged 18 or above to register and meet at least one of the
criteria stated below: 2 A Levels and 3 GCSEs (5 separate subjects including
English and Mathematics) CAT Level B (complete) OR AAT (UK) Intermediate
(complete) BTEC National Certificate (any subject) OR Advanced GNVQ (any
subject) NVQ Level 3 / 4 (any subject) OR Degree (from a recognised institution
in any subject) ACCA Certified Diploma in Accounting & Finance (complete)
Degree holders may be eligible for exemptions on a subject-to-subject basis at
the Association's discretion.
Exemptions
Relevant graduates may be awarded some exemptions for papers in Parts 1 &
2. An exemption fee must be paid for each paper awarded. Contact ACCA for
further information.
Exemption application dates :
- By 31 January - for June exams
- By 31 July - for December exams

There are 2 exam sittings each year:
Registration with ACCA:
All students who wish to sit ACCA examinations must:
- Register as a student with ACCA
- Register to sit specific exams with ACCA (you will be sent an exam entry
form once you have registered with ACCA)

- By end Dec - for June exams
- By mid Aug - for December exams
